They called us gangsters
Saw us and run
The streets would go silent
Dim lights
Shut doors
A harmless gang we were
But our color was a weapon
Full of condemnation
Never thought of redemption
Coz all since conception
All we knew was
Blood, range fear and war
Our color was a weapon
A weapon of fear
A weapon of destruction
A weapon of hate
Wait!
Did they ever sit and think??
Think that Black is just a color
One race one blood
One nation of one humanity
Dehumanised because of color
Like animals thrown out
Fed from the gatters
Inhuman it was
All smelt of racism
Discrimination all around
Dead black bodies on the streets
Like some unwanted creatures
This has to stop
Screaming at another end another man is dead slaughtered in the streets because of his color
Can’t fight this fight alone
Together we hold hands
Stop these killing
Of our own people
Eyes everywhere
Watching our every move
But we still fight
For what that matters
They called us gangsters
Yeah I admit we are a gang
Of stars
Black Lives Matter
